Living in the UK should be a pleasant experience, but it’s known to be a very depressing country, and it’s because of the mentality here.

I don’t know why or when this happened, but people here don’t like others having anything. They’re constantly tearing each other down and trying to stop them from going anywhere in their life.

It’s part of why so many people dream of living abroad, that and the weather of course.

“Humbling people”

If you ask a British person why they’re so harsh to others they’ll often respond with “they’re stuck up” with a big frown on their face. This isn’t the real reason it’s the sad justification.

The real reason people do this is that they’re envious of others and don’t like to see them succeed, not even their close friends in some cases. So they pretend ruining someone’s life is “bringing them back down to Earth”.

They want you to feel pain like they do as misery loves company.

There’s nothing humble about tearing someone else down, in fact, it’s one of the most arrogant things you can do. Who made you God? When did you become the decider of what’s humble and what’s not?
