To all the people that become managers for an easy ride

There is a certain type of manager that is absolute poison, a manager that is quite common and can be found in most organisations.

It’s the lazy middle manager.

This manager only got into management because they wanted more money and less work. They typically come from a privileged background and aren’t used to taking responsibility or doing any hard work. They’re basically the worst candidate for manager.

Their worst trait is the fact that they’re incapable of thinking about others and often see themselves as the victim when asked to do anything.

You’re overworking people

Managers like this are all about doing the bare minimum and I have actually seen them get angry at their team for asking them for some help.

They don’t understand they’re there to guide and support their team. Instead, they use their team as a way to make their lives easier.

Their team is responsible for some good work and does more than they’re supposed to. The higher-ups at the company don’t know this as the lazy manager takes all the credit.

One day you’ll see them get a promotion and everyone on your team will be wondering what the fuck is happening. How did eating prawn sandwiches…
