Toxic colleagues: When a general employee tries to become your manager
Instead of going down the usual toxic workplace route, I’m going to do something different and be more specific about the weirdos I’ve worked with.
As much as I wish I could use their real names I can’t, so I’m going to call this person Yamikani, and the reason I’ve picked this name is because I used a random name generator and that’s the best it could do apparently.
She has been living in the UK for 2 years and is originally from the Camen Islands. She’s 25, short, a big Christian, she wore glasses and is built like a bean bag chair. She was the person who trained me, and I was forced to sit next to her for my duration at the company.
She seemed like quite an oblivious person who was very self-focused and not too aware of what was happening around her. Her actions back this theory up. She was clearly a bit of a pseudo-intellectual and massively overestimated herself along with underestimating other people.
My initial impressions
When I first met her I didn’t think much of her, I must admit. She didn’t engage much in general conversation and made it obvious she hated the company. As time went on I began to dislike her as her training was half-assed, she was rude and I noticed she was drawn to drama and gossip.
