Toxic feminity and a severe lack of self-awarene

I don’t really like writing about feminist problems but I’m going to do it anyway as this is something that I’ve been thinking about for a while. It’s toxic feminity and the lack of self-awareness that comes with it. Every time I work with and date women I come back to this.

Whilst I do think things have gotten (slightly) better between men and women recently, I do still think there are groups of people who don’t understand human nature and look through everything from a gendered lens.

They do not look at the bigger picture as to why something might be happening. These are the people who are still fighting and can’t find love in their life. They think they can have it one way but there has to be compromise on both sides.

Coming from a male point of view, when I hear about toxic masculinity I can hold my hands up and say “Fair enough, men need to do better”. I see it myself in groups of men and I’m taken back a bit by some of the opinions. Some of the opinions are very old-fashioned and delusional.

But sometimes I can see that men are only being called toxic to manipulate them and women into believing that perfectly normal things are toxic. Some of them are, but women do the same shit it’s part of humanity's toxic existence on Earth. It doesn’t make it right but it is what it is.
