Travelling your own country is underrated

I love to travel, but unfortunately, I am poor so I can’t travel too often or very far. This has forced me to have to change the way I travel so I can still do it and not sink myself financially at the same time.

Travelling your own country might sound depressing to some travellers but I enjoy it and if I had money I would have never realised that. It’s allowed me to get a greater understanding of my country, and one of the main reasons I travel is to learn.

I like to see what people are like in different parts of the country and how they live. I like to see what is really going on instead of always listening to uneducated rumours from uneducated people.

When you travel your own country you realise that a lot of people know absolutely nothing about the place they come from.

Every country has a lot to offer

Every country on this planet has a lot to offer in terms of exploration, even the small ones. But I will say that some countries aren’t easy to travel around and some countries aren’t smart to travel around.

I am blessed in the UK in that I can go more or less everywhere with no issues. In some countries, there are areas that you should avoid or you’ll never be seen again. One in a lifetime trip takes on a whole new meaning.
