Was my bad job may be a blessing in disguise?
It’s important to see the good in every bad situation, this is especially important if you have a lot of bad luck as many of us do.
I say this as a realist, I’m not a person that believes in fairytales. I know some situations are so shit that the positives are irrelevant.
When it comes to the shit job that I recently left, there were a lot of positives to come away with, positives that could change my life.
I like where I live now
When I took my last job, I moved closer to its location so I could commit to it 100%. If I stayed at home with family it wouldn’t have worked out as it was an hour’s commute and that gets old fast.
I like where I live now, it’s safe, the people are nice, it’s got a lot going on, and it has some cool architecture as a bonus. It’s what English towns should aim to be.
When I moved to Manchester it was a double shit whammy. By the end, I hated my job, I hated where I lived, and it’s no surprise I came away from the situation depressed and without feelings.
Being emotionless has its pros and cons.
