What are the pros and cons of moving to France?

France is awesome. It has everything, including some of the most satisfied residents in the world. When you read up about France you can see why.

I’ve been looking for a new country as I’m not and have never been satisfied with living in the UK. It’s nothing against the UK it’s just not for me — and its decline is spiralling out of control.

But living in France may bring up some of the same problems — but in a different language.

*If I offend any French people I am sorry and feel free to correct me.

Pro

They understand the work-life balance

The French truly understand work-life balance as they work on average 35 hours per week. You also get a lot of days off and your employer is not allowed to contact you outside of work by law.

You also get decent lunch breaks and can even have some wine if you feel like it.

This suits me a lot because although I like to work hard, I like to play hard too. Work is not the be-all and end-all of life, especially when it’s for someone else.

I don’t like working for companies that expect you to live to work so it’s nice to see that you don’t do that in France. I imagine that this makes the employees…
