What are your childhood dreams that you forgot?
I’m writing this because it’s the start of the year and it’s time to reflect on goals. I spoke to someone who shared their method of goal setting on IG and I was intrigued by a section they had labelled “dreams”.
You can’t set goals for dreams surely?
They told me that it’s a section for things that they’d like to happen throughout the year but are unlikely. But setting goals for them will make it more likely to happen.
Are these dreams or ambitious goals?
I couldn’t think of anything myself but they advised me to think about the things I wanted to do as a kid but were impractical at the time, and I thought that was something interesting to think about.
What did I want to do as a kid that I’ve forgotten about as an adult?
I have fantasies more than dreams
I didn’t have dreams to do anything specific when I was a kid, but I did have a lot of fantasies, and I still have a few now. None of them were realistic as they mostly revolved around being in a fictional world like Dragonball for example.
I wanted to fight aliens with superpowers, but obviously, that’s not possible. Other than that, when I got a little older I dreamed of being a footballer whilst not attempting…
