What if I had moved to Birmingham in the first place

Deciding where to live for the rest of my life has plagued me for years, so much so that I think about it every day without fail. One of the places that was originally on my list when I first moved home was Birmingham. I didn’t go because family lived there that I didn’t like and I wanted to do something different.

I chose Manchester and you know the story, well, some of you do — most of you probably don’t. For those of you who don’t, to make a long story short, it was a disaster that made me depressed. It got so bad I had to come home to recalibrate and now I’ve moved to Cheltenham which is ok, but too rural for me, and it forces me to work in Gloucestershire which is hell on Earth.

Birmingham, well actually, the Birmingham area is where I’ll probably live next, but I could have come to this sooner if I had made different choices earlier on. It’s hindsight but still frustrating.

It’s my last chance in the UK

If I move to Birmingham and don’t like it then I will seriously look for somewhere else outside of the UK to spend the rest of my life. I’ve been to Birmingham and the surrounding areas and it’s always a good vibe which is a good start. Living there is different but it’s not like Gloucestershire or Manchester where I’m moving there completely blind.
