What To Do When An Employee Quits Suddenly

There are many reasons why an employee could quit with no notice. They may be fed up with the current authoritarian regime, they may be fed up with you cunty personally, or it could even be something as simple as them not respecting you or the company.

The reason is not the main point of focus, the main point of focus is what the fuck you’re going to do next. You’ve been put on the spot and how you react is crucial. You have to keep calm and think long and hard before you make your next moves.

But not too long though, you need to do something fairly quickish. Now it’s time to prove your worth as a manager.

When You’d Try To Get Them To Stay

If an employee is sick of you or the company, there is a chance you can get them to change their mind. If they’ve quit on the spot they may not have anywhere to go so there’s room to negotiate terms for them to stay.

Of course, this would have to be an employee of high value that you don’t want to lose, and you can’t offer them special privileges as you’d have to give them to everyone else.

What you can do, is try to change your behaviour and possibly the culture of the department at least. Now is a good chance to develop some self-awareness and ask yourself if you’ve been fair to this…
