What to do when you hate your employee

I’ve seen this many times before, and I’ve experienced it myself. This year I had it when my previous manager in Manchester hated me. He hated me in the interview so I don’t even know why he hired me, but it caused an awkward atmosphere.

If you hate an employee, don’t hire them. As obvious as that sounds it happens all the time, it’s usually not one person’s decision. If you begin to hate them later on, sort the issue before it becomes a more significant problem.

You don’t have to love, or even like everyone you work with.

Figure out why you hate them

Before you do anything else, make sure that you hate them for a genuine reason and it’s not you being the prick. A lot of people will hate someone for reasons such as jealousy or because they actually do their job and it makes them look bad as they don’t do their own.

If you don’t have a logical reason to hate them, suck it up and get on with your life. Don’t be one of those people that lie to themselves and tries to make them out to be a monster the first chance that they get.
