When people aren’t smart enough to manipulate you but won’t stop trying

People trying to manipulate you is an annoying part of life. It’s not something you can ever stop so you’re going to have to find a way to live with it. I wish there was a way of letting everyone know in advance you’re not to be tried, but here we are.

I can deal with people trying to manipulate me now as I know myself and I have a good understanding of people. The main problem I have with it is that it’s fucking annoying. Especially when people aren’t good at manipulating you.

It’s like constantly swatting a fly away. Eventually, you want to bring out the bug spray and end this person. Give up and go manipulate a child, or someone with a brain of a child.

Why don’t they give up?

In my experience, they don’t give up because they don’t have the self-awareness to know that what they’re doing isn’t working. They’re also not aware that you’re on to them.

If they do realise that you’re on to them, they’ll go away for a while and then come back at a future date to try something slightly different. Then when that doesn’t work they’ll do it again. It’s a never-ending cycle.

I don’t know what goes on in the head of a person like this, but I imagine they keep doing this because they’re wired…
