When you’re dating never forget their shitty friend.

Dating is hard enough between 2 people, but relationships aren’t between 2 people as friends on your side and on their side will try and get involved. Just because you’re good at keeping your friends and family out of your relationship it doesn’t mean they’ll be the same way.

When dating, the shitty friend has been one of my biggest obstacles. Always trying to insert themselves, always giving bad advice and throwing both of us under the bus. It’s a lesson on why you should always keep the relationship between the two of you as much as you can.

There are so many times that I can think back to when things were going great but then the shitty friend got involved and it was never the same. Please, don’t be this person, you’re not a relationship expert, no one is.

I’m only going to be speaking from the POV of the person who’s dealing with the shitty friend, not when they’re your friend or when you’re that person.

When you’re dating multiple people at once

I’ve had this recently. I was speaking to a girl but also her friend as well. They were best friend and spoke to each other all day, and that of course includes relationships as well.
