When you’re so simple it’s dangerous

I saw a video a little while ago on Instagram where Robert Greene said something similar. He said that most problems aren’t accused by evil people, they’re caused by people who are too certain and don’t understand how ignorant they are.

It was a short clip so I’m sure there was more to it I missed, but I partly disagree. I agree that people can be too certain and cause major problems, we've all been there, but I also think there are several other factors affecting people's dangerousness.

People are too certain and that certainty comes from the fact they don’t know how much they don’t know. But there is also an arrogance that comes with thinking you know it all, especially when you’ve never studied a subject. By that might come down to stupidity as well.

I’ve met people who are dumb but recognise it. They know they don’t know shit so they take a back seat. There are people who refuse to do that and want to drive forward with some bullshit that puts people in danger.

There is also a lack of care that people have. They’re incapable (or too lazy) to think about the long-term implications of their behaviour. They go with whatever thought is easiest, sometimes making things up as they can’t be bothered to think at all.
