Where You’re Located Does Matter For Your Career

You can be sucessful anywhere but if you’re a business motivated person then it’s best to stay in the mix. Don’t listen to the hype, moving out to the sticks or to a quiet family town will affect you and your work, even if you solely work online.

This idea that it doesn’t matter where you are is nonsense. It does and will always matter.

Motivation

You need outside sources of motivation when you’re trying to achieve something. Your own desire isn’t always enough to get you through some spells of doubt.

Speaking to people online doesn’t motivate you like speaking to people in person does. You also don’t get to see the real effects of the work others are doing, so you can’t use it as inspiration.

You’re more likely to run into inspiration when you’re in an environment where lot’s is happening. In a quiet location, you’re going to have to spend your time seeking it out.

Connections

You can make connections online, good ones too, but there’s nothing quite like meeting a real person. When you’re in the same location you can actually meet up, and even become real friends.
