Why are so many black men unemployed?

As a black man who’s been unemployed many times in his life despite working hard and doing the right thing, it comes as no surprise to find out that so many other black men are having employment problems. 2025 is around the corner and I find myself in a warehouse despite being qualified to work in much better positions.

It’s not for the lack of trying. I’ve tried for the last decade to develop a career and I’ve been stopped at every chance. I’ve managed to overcome many hurdles but some are tougher than others. Like, how do I defeat the white woman?

I think that if more black men were employed it would be easier for us to stay in employment as we’d have someone on our side who can help us. It’s safe to say that black woman are a mixed bag when it comes to help in the workplace. They typically look out for themselves.

Black men are a forgotten group as it’s rare that we have a light shone on our struggles. George Floyd was a good example of the struggles we go through and now even he and his situation is seen as a joke.

As I get older the further away from white people I move. I don’t relate to them, they throw me under the bus and make up things about me. I don’t think I can live a full life if white people are too involved.
