If you’ve worked in the corporate world then you know that a lot of it is fake. It’s fake like the entertainment industry, and I get why to a certain degree. But most of the time being fake in a corporate environment is completely pointless.

The main reason it’s such a fake environment is that corporate culture is an offshoot of middle-class culture, and middle-class people can be very fake. This is even more confusing, but that’s another article for another day.

It’s Not Fooling Anyone, Bright Anyway

Most people with common sense aren’t fooled by fake people, even if they make out like they are. They know who you are by watching your actions. If your actions are cruel then no amount of fake smiles and lazy gestures of kindness will hide the fact that you’re a soul-sucking demon from the depths of hell.

Dumb people will be fooled. They won’t only get fooled once, they’ll get fooled again and again, because they look at people on a surface level. So being fake can get a gang of dummies on your side, but these people aren’t the people that will take you far in your career most of the time.
