“Why Do My Staff Keep Leaving?”
If you’re a manager or a business owner and your staff keep leaving, the reason should be obvious. But sometimes you’re too close to a problem to be able to see it clearly. Either that or you’re a completely and utterly delusional person. Both are very possible.
Ask around, I’m sure someone can tell you very easily why no one wants to work for you once you describe your workplace.
The Job Is Shit
The most common reason people leave is that the job is shit. You can dress it up however you can and pay people a lot of money, but a shit job is a shit job. People will only stay in a shit job for so long. Their well-being or desire for one won’t allow them to stay there forever.
You need to figure out what about the role is terrible and try to change it. You could be asking too much of people, it could be too high pressure, or it could be that your company structure is a mess so your staff can’t do their job properly. If you can’t make the role better figure out how to make the overall environment of the company better. Treat your staff well, and help them relieve the stress.
