Why do some employees get away with everything?

Why does it seem like some employees can do no wrong? No matter what they do people always see them as an angel. To be honest, I don’t see this happen much personally. The people saying this usually have a victim complex and think that they’re unfairly treated compared to the mature adults who choose to behave day in and day out.

They’re likeable

People who’re likeable and going to get more leeway than an asshole. If you’re liked then the dickish things that you do are going to not seem so bad, people may even see the funny side of them. If somebody doesn’t like you then everything you do is going to come across as a slight, even the good things.

This is why it pays to be liked at work, you can push the boundaries more. Causing drama over every little thing doesn’t do anything than cause people to walk on eggshells around you. When they aren’t doing that they’ll avoid you completely.

They’ve built relationships

They haven’t just been turning up to work and going home, they’ve been building relationships with people at the company. This has allowed them more privileges and the opportunity to step over the line a little more.

People at the company know them as a person so they’re going to give them the benefit…
