Why do some workplaces have so many big egos?
Do you ever wonder why so many workplaces have large egos? I do. I understand that everyone has an ego, but when it comes to work it seems like a lot of people can’t put it to the side, everything has to be about them all the time.
I didn’t realise that such a large amount people have big egos and no perspective. I thought that as people got older they got wiser and more modest.
The number of egos and the type of egos you meet in the workplace change depending on what you do for a living and what type of company you’re working for. Geographical location has to be taken into account as well.
Different jobs attract different types of people
Different types of people are suited to different tasks so some fields are going to be filled with specific people. But not everyone goes into the field best suited to their skills, some people pick their career based on money or some other form of satisfaction they get from it.
A lot of narcissistic people go into the entertainment industry because it allows them to get attention from lots of people all the time. It fills their need to feel like the centre of everything all the time.
Some people love to talk to others and they have a desperate need for social interaction…
