Why I had 3 Instagram accounts

This is a story about privacy and paranoia, not about really Instagram. I at one point had 3 Instagram accounts, and whilst it’s normal to have multiple Instagram/other social media accounts, it’s also not right.

The reason some people have multiple Instagram accounts isn’t normally because they want to separate them for different interests, it’s because of privacy and/or paranoia. I’ve seen many creators say this, one even mentioned blocking everyone she knew to avoid judgement.

I have since cut back to one account as I no longer want to be creative on the app and I thought about how stupid it was. Why do I have to have secret accounts to be able to use social media without people being weird?

People literally ruin everything, I like strangers the best, the ones I’ve never seen or met.

The privacy aspect

I tried to be open and honest on social media, but you can’t do that or you’ll receive a backlash from people over small things, or you’ll get stalked and made fun of. I can handle people making fun of me, but it’s the stalking that creeps me out.

I don’t think it’s healthy for me or the people stalking me. They shouldn’t be thinking about me so much as it gives them more reasons to hate me and then stalk me some more.
