Why I love personal finance and investing
Some people might think this is a weird hobby, but I love personal finance and investing. So much so that weirdly, I almost appreciate the financial disaster that made me find it. I shouldn’t have had to get to this point to find it, but it’s not something people speak about often.
When I have financial conversations with people you can see why. A lot of people are in a complete mess and they have no intention of changing. They’d rather look the part than do the hard work and actually be the part.
Since I’ve started focusing on this aspect of my life it’s improved in all areas. People say money isn’t important but those people don’t have any sense.
“People who say money isn’t everything haven’t earned enough”.
Outside of improving my life it’s a fun game and adds a challenge to my life. I like the challenge of making money, paying off debt, and the educational factor as well. It’s forced me to move my life around, be more mature and do things I’ve never even considered before.
Maturity is a big factor. People aren’t willing to make financial sacrifices because they’re not thinking like an adult. They think they can have it all and “play” all the time like a kid.
