Why it’s hard to trust insecure people

We’re all insecure in one way or another but some people are better at coping with it than others. Some of us can compartmentalise our insecurities and live a relatively normal life, whilst others will allow their insecurities to dictate everything they do.

As you’re probably not going to be surprised to hear, these people aren’t the easiest to be around.

I’m not blaming people for this, there are different levels of insecurity that are caused by serious incidents, but it does affect how much you can trust some people. Some people are so insecure it makes them inconsistent and traitorous. When people are fearful you don’t know what they’ll do.

They’ll throw you under the bus

Insecure people will throw you under the bus in order to save themselves, it’s a cowardly tactic but one that does generally work, I’ve had it done to me more times than I can remember. They’re too scared to face the music so they’ll make you face it instead.

It doesn’t take much for an insecure person to throw you under the bus, their “flight” mode is much more active as they’re always on edge. If they even suspect someone is on to them they’ll fuck them over.
