Why I’ve lost sympathy for women in the workplace

Women have had a long battle to get where they are in the workplace. It wasn’t actually that long ago that they weren’t allowed to work at all. Once they were allowed in the workplace (out of a need in most cases) they were then treated like shit for a while until we get up to the present day.

Women are still fighting for their place in the workplace, why I don’t know because working sucks, but they are. I fully support women in the workplace despite most of my bad experiences being a result of a woman's behaviour.

But at a certain point, you have to say to women: “Hey we support you, but I don’t have sympathy for most of the things you go through because it’s part of work”. Things still need to change, but you have to get on with things the way they are now before the change can happen.

Women get jobs just as easily as men

If a woman wants a job, believe me, it’s not hard for them unless they’re a POC or disabled in some way. All other women can walk into jobs, and there are a lot of programs in place to get women in fields where there aren’t as many women.

How women are treated once they get the job is another story, but as long as they have their foot in the door they’re making a positive change for women.
