Why recruiters annoying

Recruiters are annoying, I don’t think that’s a wild statement. Even recruiters should realise that they’re the scum of the Earth, but I don’t know, and that’s part of the problem. Just the lack of self-awareness they project is sickening.

They won’t leave you alone

If they think that you’d be a perfect person to place in some trash they won’t stop contacting you, they will keep throwing bullshit job after bullshit job your way. Even if you’ve told them exactly what they want, they’ll try and convince you to go for a bullshit role that you don’t want and are overqualified for.

In the end, you have to block them like a crazy ex. They do not get the hint. I’m not willing to take a toxic job just because you want a bonus you monster.

They don’t understand simple things

Sometimes you have to spend a long time explaining the simplest things to them. A lot of them are genuinely not bright people and that’s why they’re recruiters. They went to uni to do something completely different and had to settle for recruitment because the field they chose was a step too far for them intellectually. Or they’d have to put in some real work which goes against everything they stand for.
