Working With Middle-Class People
--
If you can work with middle-class people, you can do anything. It’s the hardest job in the world. Fuck all of this frontline military fluff, you haven’t dealt with Sandra and Greg, and their long series of toxic personality traits and their inability to control them, even slightly.
Some of them are cool, but most of them are products of shitty trend of the year parenting.
They’re Completely Oblivious
Middle-class people are completely oblivious and they assume that everyone is like them. They think everyone can afford what they can afford, and everyone lives as they do.
The idea of not having 12 holidays a year and marrying because you love someone confuses them.
If you’re poor, it’s because you didn’t work hard enough. They don’t know what anyone is complaining about, they did something, so why can’t everyone else?
The Self-Righteousness
Give me a fucking break. I don’t want to hear about how you think you’re a giving person, all you do is live a life of gluttony. They speak about how they want a conservative government so they can have more money to help others whilst already sitting on a mountain of gold.
“I would help people but I don’t have the money.”
“Take a look at this picture of the new £7000 sofas I’ve bought for my house.”
They always talk about social causes but are usually part of the problem. They don’t do anything to help, all they do is guilt trip. They love to fucking guilt trip.
They’re Spiteful
If they don’t get their own way or someone steals attention for 5 seconds then they flip their lid and take it out in passive-aggressive ways. Your day is going to be spent managing their emotions, not doing work.
Work is secondary for these people as they tend to get high paying jobs that don’t require much effort.
You have to make sure their egos are fed, and they get the attention they think they deserve. If not, you’ll be fighting to keep your job in a few weeks because they’ve made some heinous shit up about you and told the entire building.
