You can tell a lot about someone when they’re forced to face someone who’s different to them
It’s easy to claim that you’re open-minded and accepting of other people when you’re never around those people in real life. But it’s a different story when you’re actually forced to be close to those people for the first time. Then you’ll see how you truly feel, and it's a real eye-opener.
Take a look at privileged Liberals for example.
They’re happy to shout about how the plight of others is wrong, but when they’re around those people they’re talking about, they’re probably more exclusionary than conservatives. I grew up around conservatives so I know that even though they’re ignorant they’re more likely to give you a chance.
Liberals feel uncomfortable around people who think differently to them. It’s not usually about what you are, but how you think and act, which is more important.
Test your beliefs
I’m not saying that all of these people are dirty liars, it’s just that some of them are completely unaware of what they truly believe regarding other people, as they’re not around people who’re different very often.
