You can’t control others and you can’t run from others: Learning to manage people

I fucking hate people. Ok, maybe I don’t, but the older I get the more I don’t want to be near many of them. Even when people are trying to be genuinely nice they can be difficult to deal with. Why can’t it be easy? Whatever though, we keep pushing forward.

Two things I’ve had to accept are that you can’t control people and you can’t run from everyone. I don’t want to control people it’s not who I am so that was easy, but I love avoiding people I don’t want to be around.

If you avoid every difficult person you’ll end up with a shit life isolated from the rest of society. Plus, you’re going to let people walk all over you and destroy your reputation, but this can happen regardless.

If you’re struggling with people make sure you’re not the asshole

Some people find it difficult to manage people because they’re the problem but they can’t see it. Nobody likes to be around them because they’re hard to deal with but they blame everyone else.

This is a problem I have with a lot of people as an introvert. Extroverted people are more likely to force themselves on you and not consider boundaries.
